I live with my wife, Nilou, in beautiful Lafayette, California, just east of Berkeley and across the Bay from San Francisco. My eldest daughter, Elana, graduated from Mount Holyoke College in western Massachusetts and currently lives in mid-state Vermont. My youngest, Michaela, graduated from Bennington College in Vermont where she settled with her husband, Ben and our gorgeous grandson, Ozzy. My three step children are in various stages of college: Ana recently graduated from UC Davis, Audrey is a senior at UCLA, and Noah will soon be transferring to one of the UC schools next year as a junior. Family is everything to Nilou and I.
I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area from Seattle in the summer of 1999 when I accepted employment with The Urban School of San Francisco.
