Current Professional Position
In 2011, I transitioned into the newly defined role as Director of Educational Innovation and Information Services, leading tech-related strategic initiatives at Convent & Stuart Hall Schools of the Sacred Heart in San Francisco. C&SH is a complex K-12, multi-campus independent school in the heart of San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood.
Much of my current work involves leading our Tech & Innovation Team of 8+ educators and technicians supporting 1150 students and over 200 employees. All students K-12 are issued school-owned Apple iPads. Our Dual Device program supports the addition of home-owned laptops for all in Grades 7-12. Nearly all faculty and staff also use multiple devices.
In addition to educational technology leadership, I have helped lead rethinking and renovating learning spaces, working with leading architects and designers to transform classrooms, libraries, and other spaces into learning studios that support and extend collaboration for all.
Previously, I spent 12 years as Director of Technology at the Urban School of San Francisco, a school on the cutting edge of curriculum innovation that spans far beyond technology. Refer to the articles about Urban's technology efforts in Writings.
